Got a second seed getting the shards to corrupt my bowfa so I had to grind some more to recorrupt my blade. My thieving is bad and I don't like skilling so I just did it through cg. It says corrupting means no more charges are needed and you have unlimited ammo unless you un-corrupt it. Pretty simple to understand... And no, shards can be obtained from breaking apart seeds from Elven content or the GE.
